Hello and welcome to Mumsy & Bub!

My name is Katya Bowd and much like yourselves, I am a mother experiencing all the joys and challenges that raising kids bring. I live in Victoria, Australia with my husband Matt and our two kids, Kaela and Taj.

I migrated from the Philippines to Australia in early 2016 after Matt and I were married, and Canberra became our first home. It was in the ACT where Mumsy& Bub was founded (I will never forget my small home office back then!) Initially, it started out as a Motherhood Blog then we eventually branched out to selling Mum Planners and hand drawn stickers.

In 2017, we then decided to offer cruelty-free Traveler’s Notebooks, starting with the Perfect Fit B6 size, as part of our product line-up seeing how popular this particular planner style was becoming. We were so overwhelmed with the positive responses that we got from the planner community when we first introduced our TNs. <3 The rest is history!

We moved to Victoria in mid-2018 as we wanted to be closer to family and friends while still trying to grow the business. (Matt is originally from Melbourne)

However, as the business expanded its product range, our house became “smaller.” Literally – we were living on top of each other – boxes and shelves and products EVERYWHERE! This situation continued for a couple of months before we found a nearby 2-storey building that was ready for occupancy; hence, we now have the official Mumsy& Bub HQ! Woohoo!

When I’m not designing products or brainstorming with the internal team, I spend time with my two amazing kids and try to keep up with the domestic aspect of family life. Trust me, my life is far from perfect and I have to deal with the never-ending chaos on a daily basis. (Does 2 weeks’ worth of clean laundry sitting on a table sound familiar???) On the flip side, I’ve always believed in the saying that “there’s nothing that a good cup of coffee can’t fix!”
